General Election Day is November 7th, 2023! As residents of Suffolk County and these great United States, it is imperative that we take a proactive role in our government by voting.

Whether it’s your first time voting, your first time voting in Suffolk County, or you just want a refresher, we have compiled some helpful links and information below.

Raise your voice!

First, check and see if you are registered to vote by clicking HERE.

If you have not yet registered to vote, applications must be received by the Board of Elections no later than October 28, 2023, to be eligible to vote in this year’s General Election. You can register to vote online using the New York State Board of Elections Online Voter Registration portal, or see other methods of registration by clicking HERE.

Are you new to Suffolk County? Welcome home! The Voter Registration form, accessible HERE, should be used as a Change of Address form. Notices of change of address from registered voters received at least 15 days (October 23, 2023) before a special, primary or general election by a county board of elections must be processed and entered in the records in time for that election.

There are three ways for Suffolk County voters to cast a ballot in the 2023 General Elections:

On Election Day – November 7, 2023, at your polling place. To confirm your polling place location click HERE.

During Early Voting periods for the General Election (October 28th - November 5th ) Voters may vote at any one of the 27 Early Voting locations throughout Suffolk County. For a list of Early Voting Poll locations from the Suffolk County Board of Elections, click HERE.

By Absentee Ballot – The Board of Elections will remain open until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18th, and Thursday, October 20th for absentee ballot requests and submissions. For more information about voting by Absentee Ballot, click HERE.
